Why an infill beats removing and reapplying

Every full removal means soaking and buffing the natural nail. An infill avoids that: only the outer layer of gel is filed back, so the base layer stays in place and protects your nail while it grows. Over a few months that makes a real difference to how strong your own nails feel.

What happens at your infill

The existing BIAB is filed back and the surface refined.
Any lifting edges are checked and sealed.
Fresh builder gel fills the regrowth at the cuticle.
The apex is rebalanced so the nail is strong where it needs to be.
A glossy top coat and cuticle oil to finish.

Wearing colour instead?

If your BIAB has a colour finish, please book BIAB Infills with Colour Gel instead. It allows the extra time to remove the old colour and apply a fresh one.

New to BIAB at Honeys?

If your BIAB was applied elsewhere, or it has been more than six weeks, a fresh BIAB nails appointment may be the better option. Give our Taunton salon a ring and we will help you choose.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I book a BIAB infill?

Every three to four weeks suits most clients. Leaving it much longer allows the regrowth area to become a weak point, which makes lifting and breakages more likely.

Is an infill better than having BIAB removed each time?

Yes, for most people. Infilling means the natural nail is not repeatedly soaked off and refiled, so it stays in better condition while it grows underneath.

This appointment is for natural colour BIAB. What if I wear colour?

If your BIAB has a colour gel finish, please book BIAB Infills with Colour Gel instead, as that appointment allows the extra time needed to reapply your colour.

Can you change my nail shape at an infill?

We can refine the shape at each infill, and small changes are easy. A bigger change of shape or length may be better done at a fresh application, and we will advise you.
