Why regular infills matter

As your natural nail grows, the strongest part of the extension moves forward and away from where it is needed. The nail becomes top heavy and more likely to lift or snap. An infill puts the weight and strength back in the right place.

What happens at your infill

The existing Acrygel is filed back and the surface smoothed.
Any lifting is checked and sealed.
Fresh Acrygel fills the regrowth at the cuticle.
The apex and shape are rebalanced.
Length is refined, and colour changed if you would like.

A good time for something new

Infills are an easy moment to try a different look. Add basic nail art for an accent nail, or go further with extreme nail art for a party or holiday.

Been longer than six weeks?

If it has been a while, or your extensions were applied at another salon, a fresh set of Acrygel extensions may give a better result. Ring our Taunton salon and we will advise.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I need Acrygel infills?

Every three to four weeks suits most clients. Leaving it longer means the regrowth area becomes a weak point, which makes lifting and breakages more likely.

Is an infill cheaper than a new set?

Yes. An infill maintains the set you already have, so it costs less than a fresh application and takes a little less time in the chair.

Can I change colour or add nail art at an infill?

Yes. Colour can be changed at each infill, and nail art can be added on top. Please mention it when you book so we can allow the extra time.

What if a nail has broken since my last visit?

Let us know when you book. A single broken nail can be rebuilt as part of your infill, or booked separately as an Acrygel Extension Repair if you need it sooner.
